A local area telecommunicator could use our help! Communications Officer Brenda Sampson has been with the Harris County Sheriff's Office in Houston, Texas for 12 years, but unfortunately, she has been unable to work since October 2011 due to a lengthy illness. She has had to endure seven surgeries to aid in circulation and fight infection that has set in her right foot. She currently is not able to work to earn a paycheck so the Harris County Sheriff’s Office is seeking help to get Brenda back on her feet. In 2007, the State of Texas recognized her as Telecommunicator of the Year for helping a citizen through the traumatic shooting of her boyfriend.
